The Wyndham Margaritaville Vacation Club, Hillside Buildings Renovation project, involves six guest unit buildings originally constructed in 1984 as the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort. Located on a 34-acre estate on Water Bay, East St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the project is divided into two construction phases.

 

Phase II comprises 194 Hillside Guest Units across the six existing buildings. Demolition for this phase was completed during Phase I, removing interior walls, finishes, doors, and windows from the buildings. Existing stucco has been power washed and prepped for a new finish coat, with the roof system retained to minimize water infiltration.

 

Each of the five-story Hillside Buildings is constructed with cast-in-place concrete, hollow core planks, CMU block, and wood framing. Building 8 is designed for Presidential Units and will contain 24 luxury units, while Buildings 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 will each house 34 standard guest units.
