Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham Worldwide
The Wyndham Margaritaville Vacation Club Hillside Buildings Renovation project consists of six existing guest unit buildings built in 1984 as the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort. The site is nestled on a 34 acre estate on Water Bay, on the East end of St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Wyndham Margaritaville Vacation Club is currently divided into two separate phases of construction.  Phase I consisted of 72 Poolside Guest Units, Pool, Pool Bar, Restaurant, Check-in Building, and back of house Operations Buildings.  Phase II includes the 194 Hillside Guest Units divided amongst the six existing buildings.
All utility infrastructure work has been completed in Phase I including all new domestic water and fire lines to each of the Hillside Buildings.  Phase I work also includes Hardscape and Landscape associated with the Hillside Buildings.
Phase II demolition was completed during the construction portion of Phase I.  The interior walls, finishes, doors and windows have been removed from the Hillside Buildings.  Existing stucco has been power washed and prepped for a new finish coat. The roof system remained during demolition to minimize water infiltration.
Each Hillside Building has five floors made up of cast in place concrete, hollow core planks, CMU block and wood framing. Building 8 has been designed for Presidential Units and will hold 24 luxury units.  Buildings 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 will each house 34 standard guest units.
